Nothing is better than curling up with a good whodunit, especially when the lead detective has been developed so well that you feel like you know them personally. It seems like the best lead detectives are always flawed personally, and yet they somehow persevere in solving the case that has everyone else baffled. Here are five of my favorite detectives for which I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the series.
1. Cormoran Strike
Let’s start this list with a bang! You may have heard of this one, as it’s been developed into a popular television series, Strike. And then there’s the drama about the author, Robert Galbraith, actually being J.K. Rowling. But set all of that aside and read the books for their own sake. Obviously, Rowling is a talented writer, and the stories about the private detective team are full of suspense. It’s not just the murders that are suspenseful, either.
