Are you someone who wants to try everything?
I certainly am. My hobbies and career choices have run the gamut from crocheting to coding. They have carried me from garages and production facilities to restaurants and offices, and even to the high seas. I’ve done manual labor jobs and knowledge worker jobs and everything in between.
Well, maybe I’m not quite at everything level, but I’ve tried a lot of things.
Recently, though, I did some math and calculated that life is a bit too short to actually try everything.
Disappointing, but also enlightening.
If I don’t have enough time to do it all, why waste my time with subpar experiences?

It all started when I realized I own a lot of books that I’ve never read. My To-Be-Read list contained over 400 titles.
